My book qualitative research methods for everyone is going to be published by Policy press on 25 March 2025. I’m so excited to get this one out there. I will be bombarding everyone I know so watch out for it. We are also recording some podcasts to accompany the book release. I don’t want to reveal everything that’s in the book but there will be a few tips and insights as we discuss each chapter. And I’ve got some fantastic guests! 

However, my point in coming here today is to say to anybody who is currently working on writing a book, read the publisher’s guidelines before writing not at the end. I have had to go through and check all citations, quotation marks, use of numerals and dates, use of abbreviations and italics, as well of course as checking the entire bibliography. It’s a good way to also give the book a final read but I really wish I had read the guidelines first.
